WORKSHOP ON DEFINING THE
MEASURES AND METHODOLOGY OF PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION IN ORDER TO
MINIMIZE THE DAMAGES CAUSED BY FLOODS
 On
05,07,2010 at the Regional Council of Shkoder was organized a workshop
on defining the way of intervention measures to prevent and minimize the
damage caused by floods that occurred recently in Shkodra Region.
The Regional Council of Shkoder is working on drafting a document, the
strategic concept for regional development, based on the strategic
development of existing documents and community participation. This is
an open process for the participation of stakeholders in the Region.

MRS. MICHELLE SABBAN PRESIDENT OF AER VISITS THE REGION OF SHKODRA
 On Thursday afternoon July, 1, 2010, the Region of Shkodra was visited by a delegation of the General Assembly of European Regions, headed by the President of this assembly Mrs. Michelle SABBAN. Part of the delegation were Mr. Klaus Clips Secretary General as well as social policy commissioner for youth and sports Mr. Mathieu MORI. In this visit took paert the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Tirana, Mr. Manuel Montobio.

Presentation of the Development Strategy of Hajmeli and Vig-Mnele Communes
 On Friday May, 28, 2010 at the "Millenium" Cinema supported by the Regional Council of Shkoder was made the presentation of Hajmel and Vig-Mnele development strategies. The participants in this meeting were representatives of local authorities and experts of different fields.

IT IS UNDERSIGNED A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ABRUZZO REGION, ITALY AND THE REGIONAL COUNCIL OF SHKODRA, ALBANIA
 In the framework of the project FORUMED-Internationalization, Innovation and Knowledge, supported by the Abruzzo Region related to the Mediterranean area, recently were held meetings between representatives of the Regional Council of Shkoder and Development Usna Union of northern Albania, and Abruzzo Region- Department of Economic Development. These activities have led to initiatives for cooperation between companies from Albania and enterprises from Abruzzo Region, and mainly to understand the opportunities of cooperation between the two areas on local economic development.

THERE ARE ESTABLISHED THE EVALUATION GROUPS FOR THE ASSESMENT OF THE FLOOD DAMAGES
As was announced last days in the media, on Tuesday May 4, 2010, were re-established the working groups for the evaluation of damages incurred by floods in the area of Sub Shkodra, and respectively in the Communes of Ana e Malit, Berdicë, Bushat ,Guri i Zi, Dajç, Velipoje and Shkodra Municipality.
