Meeting with representatives of the Region Friuli / Venezia / Giulia
The Presdient of Shkodra Regional Council Mr. Maxhid Cungu, met with the Italian delegation of Fruli Venezia Giulia region which is on a mission in Albania  from 18 to 21 July 2012, together with the management of UNDP program ART GOLD 2. The purpose of this meeting was the presentation of two important projects for tourism development in the region of Shkodra to be funded by these two partners.

The first is the creation of "Albergo diffuzo" an Italian successful model of tourism development in mountain areas and the second project is to inventory and digitize all photographic materials of Marubi Photo archive. Representatives of Shkoder saw up close, about 2 months ago in Italy, the success of the Italian model "Albergo diffuzo" and one of the largest photo archives in Italy located in the region of Fruli. The delegation was led by the regional adviser Mr. Enzo Marsiglio, Mayor of Saurris Mr. Stefano LUCCHINI, representative of  Chiara Crivellaro agency  and development of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia   Elena Franceschinis,-integration specialist. This meeting comes in the continuation of the previous ones, where the parties concerned have jointly conceived the possibility of cooperation between them for the accomplishment of joint projects in the territory of Shkodra region. It is about a project that has to do with enhancing the quality of digitalization and promotion of photo archive Marubi in Shkodra, and selection of an area in this region, Theth and Razëm, where tourism implementation opportunities are distributed to area , a new practice which in the respective Italian and other areas of the Balkans has found a rapid development, as it implies many public and private actors in cooperation and increases the strength of development in the area is fully interested in creating an all-inclusive activity. Mr. Cungu thank the Italian side for the presentation of these ideas and plans and found them in line with our development strategies, because as he remarked - this is the ongoing implementing development strategy of tourism and culture in the region of Shkodra, a strategy already approved and work is underway to plan the action plan and its implementation, in cooperation with Gold2 ART program - whose representatives were present at this meeting. In attendance were directors of these sectors and the administration of the regional council. Italian side since the territory recognized and appropriate in close cooperation with local authorities, Regional Council, will make the selection of space tourism project implementation and distributed.
