Regional Development Program-Northern Albania.
On 24 July 2012, at the restaurant "Palma" (Shengjin) was organized the Coordination Group meetings of the Regional Development Program-Northern Albania. In addition to members of the group the meeting was also attended by representatives from both regional councils Lezha and Shkoder, two donor representatives from Austria and the Swiss Cooperation,RDP program representatives (with voting rights) were invited as observers, as representative public administrations to local units of both regions, civil society, local development agency "Teuleda" and ArtGold program 2, etc..

The meeting was opened by Mr.. Pashk Gjoni, Presdient of the RC of Lezha, who after his speech he stressed the importance of the impact that the program  will have on the development of the territory as well as in capacity building. In his speech Mr. Maxhid Cungu, Presdient of the RC SHkoder stressed Shkodra and progress and the work done together in pursuit of the anticipated schedule, estimating joint moments of discussion, teamwork and decisions for the future, giving priority to capacity building of Regional Council staff and coordinating role "or catalyst" that has RC and his administration in the regional development process. A brief description of RDP and planned activities for 2012, and the presentation of the progress achieved since the last meeting of the Programme Coordination Group (MWG), was presented by Mr.. Daniel Wagner, director of the Program RDP. In this presentation was given some facts about the program, the overall objective, the Fund's strategic focus of RDP, approaches in the future, general principles of the program etc.. The program's main objective is to contribute to the development of equitable socio-economic development of regions of Shkodra and Lezha, through improving the socio-economic position of citizens during the implementation of regional development and strengthening of regional institutions and local government enabling them to improve their role. A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the project list "major" for Shkodra and Lezha REGIONS, respectively by Ms. Merit Kazaz, Director of the Directorate of development in  Shkodra RC and Mrs. Linda Maci, Head of development Department in the,RC Lezha.
