On training and the implementation of projects contemplated in the Regional Tourism Strategy of Shkodra
Shkodra Regional Council with the support and assistance of the UNDP Programme 2 ART GOLD Albania has worked intensively for a Strategic Plan for Sustainable Tourism Development for the Shkodra region and implement a variety of other activities in support of public administration, civil society, etc.

Parallel the process of drafting this document was provided a fund for the implementation of projects derived from existing documents. During the application process for this fund was necessary to adapt these projects to the standards required by the donor. Taking impetus from this and in the framework of implementation projects provided in the Tourism Strategy and other strategic documents was taken initiative to organize a training process with potential stakeholders in the design and implementation of projects. These trainings were planned to be organized in three districts of Shkoder. Target groups are composed of representatives of public administration, civil society and business. The process has already been completed in the Malesia e Madhe, being held in Shkodra where foreseen three rounds and then proceed to Puke. The whole process started in February and will end at the end of April according to the calendar provided. By this process will come up with concrete proposals to which the program is committed to financially support a transparent process based on competitiveness.

The process of Strategic Plan for Tourism headed by the Region, with the support of the ART GOLD UNDP 2, was accompanied by financing several projects identified by previous strategic documents. The process of determining the selection criteria and the decision was implemented through a Process of broad participation in the Partnership Council and the council of Shkoder. Were selected for funding projects such as the facade lighting Shkodra Municipality (under implementation); collation, lighting, public green spaces in the Municipality of Puka. (Under implementation) Gjinaj-field Street Vig. (In the tender evaluation process) segment of road retaining wall to Theth versus cataract. (In the tender evaluation process) Sustainable management of water resources in the Village Resort Theth. (In the tender evaluation process). The whole process of technical evaluation and bidding is done and is being prosecuted by UNDP.
