On March 7, 2011 at the office of the President of the Regional Council of Shkoder, in the presence of directors of the administration of this institution was held a ceremony for the submission of a gratitude certificate to Mrs. Valerie Peters, manager of GTZ in Albania at the end of her mission in our country. In his speech during the handover of this certificate Mr. Kolombi was focused at the contribution of Mrs.

THE STRATEGY OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT- PUBLIC DEBATES
The Regional Council of Shkoder supported by the UNDP Programme ART GOLD2 and the local economic development agency TEULEDA started the process of public discussions with local stakeholders organized within the activities of strategic planning "Towards sustainable development of tourism"
Public debates were organized in Puka, Shkodra and Koplik respectively on 22, 23 and 24 February 2011, with the participation of local authorities and interest groups promoting their involvement in the debate with a view to identify possible scenarios for the development of the area. Public debates are a part of the meetings that were organized to produce draft regional strategy for developing sustainable tourism in Shkodra region with local stakeholders. 

Regional Development Program
At the office of the President of the Regional Council of Shkoder was held a meeting on starting implementation of the project for regional development of Shkodra and Lezha regions. Managers appointed for this purpose by foreign organizations in cooperation with the Albanian government have enabled the development of this extensive project informed Mr. Kolombi on the start of work and he received basic information on current developments in the region of Shkodra.

European integration, knowledge, innovation and democratic governance development.
On 13-14 January 2011, at the Tirana International Hotel was held the Conference: European integration, knowledge, innovation and democratic governance development. The conference was organized by the Ministry of the Interior, supported by UNDP Albania and the Italian Embassy, Tirana. The aim of the conference was to promote the activities and interventions in the field of sustainable development, and presentation of program performance Artgold2, Albania.

Information by the Inter-ministerial Committee of Emergencies in Shkodra region on December 21, 2010
During  yesterday night (dt.20 December) because of the dense rain the precipitation reached the level of 55 mm, thus creating a situation exacerbated not only in the aggravated  flood zones, but also across the region of Shkodra. By the communication with the operating rooms of the HC (Hydropower)turns out that: quota on Fierza Lake is 284.23m, feeds 110 m3 / s, discharge 470m3 / from the turbines; quotes on Koman lake is 171.44m, feeds 948m3 / s, discharge 950m3 / s ; and in Vau i Dejes, quota is 73.14, feeds 1220m3 / s, discharge 930m3 / s.

MILITARY FORCES IN CIVIL EMERGENCIES OPERATION
As a result of improved hydro situation, the water level in flooded of Shkodra Prefecture has declined. AF structures in close collaboration with local government structures have been following the situation and have conducted operations to transport the aid to the population distribution, transport and distribution of fodder for livestock. The main attention is focused on Shkodra Municipality (flooded neighborhoods) and municipalities of Dajç, Ana e Malit, Guri i Zi, Bushat, Rrethina, Velipojë. CRITICAL POINT:

The floods situation according to the areas
Shkodra  Municipality.  There were no problems and the situation is almost the same in terms of water level. The level has decreased from 5 to 10 cm in the quarters of Xhabiej and Tophanë.  The areas of Kirasi,  Livade, Udhakryqi, Manush Alimani district, Salo Halili, Ahmed Haxhia, Ajasem, Iliria, and partly neighborhood Shiroka commune are still inundated.

The situation in Shkodra Region on 08 December 2010
Today, the police forces in cooperation with other structures, have been engaged in THE evacuation of citizens of THE flooded areas, escorting them, the running of the distribution of aid and the security agenda in these areas. The police actions have mainly been focused on the most problematic areas, the villages of the Commune of  Dajç, Ana e Malit, Berdice, Velipoja Bushat, Guri i Zi and the flooded districts  of the  City. 

The public presentation of the Regional Development Concept of Shkodra Region
Today, on November 4, 2010 at the "Millennium" Cinema, the Regional Council of Shkoder supported by the GTZ (German Agency of Technical Cooperation) organized a public presentation of the Strategic Concept of Regional Development and the activities in the field of regional development in the Region of Shkodra. The Prefect of Shkodra Region Mr. Maxhid Cungu, the Mayor of Shkodra Mr. Lorenc Luka was present at this meeting, representatives of foreign development agencies operating in the Regional Council and Mayors of LGU’s in the Region, representatives of institutions at the regional level and seveal NGOs were present.
