The public presentation of the Regional Development Concept of Shkodra Region
Today, on November 4, 2010 at the "Millennium" Cinema, the Regional Council of Shkoder supported by the GTZ (German Agency of Technical Cooperation) organized a public presentation of the Strategic Concept of Regional Development and the activities in the field of regional development in the Region of Shkodra. The Prefect of Shkodra Region Mr. Maxhid Cungu, the Mayor of Shkodra Mr. Lorenc Luka was present at this meeting, representatives of foreign development agencies operating in the Regional Council and Mayors of LGU’s in the Region, representatives of institutions at the regional level and seveal NGOs were present.

SHKODRA REGION PRESENTS HIS STRATEGIC PLAN, TOWARD THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM.
The local authorities of the Regional Council and other stakeholders that contribute in the Region development, presented today on 12th of October the launch of the strategic planning process for the Region of Shkoder. This process is supported by the program of UNDP ART GOLD 2 and the Local Economic Development Agency, TEULEDA.

In the framework of the Development and Local Decentralisation Programme (dldp), a delegation of local government representatives had a study visit in Switzerland during the period 4-8 October 2010.Part of this delegation were the Deputy Minister Mr. Ferdinand Poni, Head of the Qark Council of Shkoder, Mr. Gjovalin Kolombi, Head of the Qark Council of Lezhë, Mr. Bardh Rica, as well as high level representatives of the qarks of Shkodër and Lezhë, technical staff, representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the dldp programme.
